The 5 most important international trade fairs dedicated to technology

The world of companies operating in this field is truly vast and diverse. There are hundreds of sectors where technology takes the lead, enabling results that were unimaginable even just a short time ago.

Over the years, we have collaborated with dozens of companies that take pride in technology and innovation, and through their successes have revolutionized many aspects of everyday life.

There are countless industry events related to technology, each with its own unique features and characteristics. In this quick guide, I want to introduce you to 5 of the main events that take place regularly in Italy and abroad.

IFA Berlin

According to history books, the 1995 IFA is remembered as the first trade fair dedicated to the multimedia sector. Every year, it hosts about 1,800 exhibitors from more than 50 different countries, spread over more than 160,000 square meters of exhibition space.

IFA Berlin has grown in importance globally over the years; you can find products of various types. In the early days, mobile phones dominated the stands, but over time it has evolved into an event of great value for the business of many companies in the technology world applied to all work sectors.

With its evolution, IFA attracts visitors every year from over 100 countries worldwide.

MWC Barcelona (formerly Mobile World Congress)

It is the largest global event dedicated to technology, gathering every year the latest technological innovations presented by over 2,400 companies. It offers high-level conferences and meetings to explore the most interesting and important topics influencing the industrial sector.

Seminars, workshops, summits, and more enable the encounter between the evolution and the desire to learn of every exhibitor and visitor at the event.

In recent years, it is estimated that about 107,000 company decision-makers have attended MWC Barcelona to expand their network of professional partnerships and business.

CES Consumer Electronics Show, Las Vegas

For over 50 years, it has been a benchmark for those who produce and innovate in the consumer electronics and technology sector. This event takes place in Las Vegas in the first days of January and boasts more than 180,000 attendees at each edition, including hi-tech enthusiasts and companies looking for novelties and partnerships to expand their business.

Recent editions have recorded an average of over 4,400 exhibitors from around the world, including manufacturers of hardware and electronic components for business, industry, and consumers.

Each edition showcases all next-generation innovations that will soon be introduced to the market.

It is the main event dedicated to enterprise technology, where global leaders present the most important innovations and recent trends that can have a significant impact on the development of business and industrial products and services.

Alongside classic exhibition spaces, it offers an IT Conference. The event is relatively smaller, with about 500 exhibitors participating at each edition, mainly top technology producers, while more than 140,000 visitors on average move between the stands seeking information and partnerships.

The exhibition area is where market stakeholders propose new technologies to industries and institutions. During conferences, business technology solutions are presented using successful case studies, while ShowNet is the reference point for the full demonstration of the proposed technologies, a place to see in action the ingenuity of automation engineers.

Viscom Italia, Milan

It takes place in the pavilions of the Rho exhibition center in Milan and serves as a meeting point between supply and demand in the technological world related to visual communication in sectors such as large-format digital printing, laser milling systems, signage and billposting, screen printing, event services, digital signage, engraving, labeling, and much more.

The most important players and stakeholders are present, with an average of more than 480 exhibitors at each edition of the event.
